For those who are not aware, there is a cycle of time and space every 20 years. The current cycle 8th Period is ending and the next cycle is Period 9, which means the 9^th and last cycle, before we revert back to Period 1 again. Predictions have been made for Period 9 and before we look at the highlights of Period 9 to prepare ourselves for what’s to come, let us review the predictions made for the current Period 8 and past Period 7.

Period 7 was between the year 1984 and 2004. This was a period characterised by the element yin Metal, which highlighted the boom of the music and entertainment industry, the rise of consumerism and focus on young ladies as the main target of the consumer market. True enough, we have seen fashion, technology for consumer products such as walkmans, mp3 players, handphones and other entertainment related businesses making their presence known and taking on vital roles in our everyday lives.  

Period 8 was between the year 2004 to 2024 and characterised by the element yang Earth. This period indicated the rise of the Earth related sectors such as the real estate market. Focus on was the young males so we had numerous boy bands from Backstreet Boys to Korean BTS making huge waves across the globe. We have also witnessed some of the world’s major earthquakes such as the Sumatra earthquake which resulted in the deadly Asian Tsunami (2004). Frequency of earthquakes were also way higher than previous eras.

Now onto Period 9, the year 2024 to 2044, here’s what we need to be aware of and take actionable steps so that we are prepared and ready for the coming years ahead. Period 9 is characterised by the element Fire. In this era, the focus in on spirituality, personal growth and enlightenment. Hence, education, healthcare and wellness will be on the upward trend. This is also the era of middle-aged women so they will be the ones in power. We can expect more female head of states and CEOs of prominent companies. Technology that we see today is only the tip of the iceberg, it will become more prevalent in every aspect of our lives so get ready to use technology to your advantage whether in business or in your daily lives so that you are in control of it instead of yourself becoming obsolete.

On the negative side, fire hazards, wars will occur when people lose control of the fire element and that includes anger and impulsiveness. There are also natural disasters that are not within our control. Be mindful not to put all into long term investments, keep aside some for emergency use as situations can change abruptly.
